Marshall Lee

Who is that guy with the camera?!?

Thank you for visiting my photo pages. Currently, I live with my wife in Milwaukee, WI. This past July we added our first child, little Zander (future Wook). I have a degree in Technical Theatre, but at this point in my life I am focused more on photography. As of late I do all sorts of photography, but mostly portrait, and my own artwork. I also teach seminars in 35mm photography, digital photography, Photoshop, portraiture, lighting, and other related topics. I am always working on photographic projects and looking to meet new people to photograph. If you would like to be photographed, or need photographs and live somewhere near Wisconsin, feel free to contact me.

To keep things clear, there are two Marshalls who photograph at Harvest Fest. What are the chances? The other Marshall is Marshall Obert (also known as Marshall Artz); who does some great work documenting the fest and with his portraits. You can check out his website here.

I have to say that I look forward all year to joining up with all the friendly people at Harvest Fest. It is the highlight of my summer! Harmony Park is one of the most alive places I have found for a festival. My hats off to them for letting us all use the park. I also have to give a nod out to Wookiefoot for all their hard work producing the festival, and thank them for letting me record this great event.

I saw Wookiefoot for the first time in the summer of 2002. What a show! When I found out that they were producing a festival, my friends and I had to check it out. Wookiefoot was a group of people that had a messages I could believe in. They are good people, and not to mention they produce some really great music. I wanted to do what I could to help promote the event, and felt that the best thing I could do is doucment the fest with my photography. This site is the final product of that quest. I hope you enjoy what you see. I look forward to adding to the achives in the many years to come. Please e-mail me and let me know what you think. Thanks.

One last side note, I do not shoot too many bands, but there is one other group I work with because I believe in their message, enjoy their company, and just really like their sound. That is a group is called Brother. They are from Australia and have been touring the US for the last 10 years. They have eight CD's and one DVD. These guys are more then good musicians, they are good peopleand good friends. They treat their fans with respect and will meet people after every show until each person has had a chance to talk with them or have something signed. Thay already have a large following in the US, Australia, and now France. They are very independent band and have not sold out to the man. Because of this they don't have as much exposure as a group equal to their talents. A reviewer said... “Go out and get hit over the head with this music as soon as possible. There's just nothing else like it. It's not every day that your front men both pull out bagpipes and didgeridoos instead of guitars and cover the solo parts in an amazingly harmonized duel. From sampled loops to ancestral pipes, shredding guitar to improvised percussion, everything comes together in a perfectly balanced sonic tapestry.” Live Magazine, December 2003 I urge everyone, if you want to hear something different, something polished, and something meaningful check out Brother at brothermusic.com .

Looking forward to seeing you all next year…
